Which exact exhibition is opened at the British Library?
An exciting Exhibition has been opened at the British Library. It is about ongoing collaboration and cooperation between Chinese and British people; it is about Chinese culture and Chinese growing their community in the United Kingdom; hence, the name: CHINESE AND BRITISH.
The Exhibition is supported by Blick Rothenberg. Dr Lucienne Loh at the University of Liverpool and Dr Alex Tickell at the Open University curated the Exhibition in collaboration with the British Library.

Why is the Exhibition at the British Library about Chinese and British?
The Exhibition pays tribute to many Chinese people who moved to live in the UK, stayed and built their lives here, as well as shared their talents with local people. Chinese people shared their wonderful culture, including the art of dance and singing, creation of poems and stories, fashion, and filmmaking.
Some of them appear as inspirational models as they gained their status and public acknowledgement in a foreign environment through hard work aiming towards and obtaining, great achievements.
There are also items presented that help us to better understand the development of international trade between China and the UK, trade has boomed among other more abstract things, the foundation of many Chinese restaurants in UK.
In 2022, the British Chinese population across the UK constitute 400,000 people of Chinese descent living here.
