Ningbo is a famous cultural and historic city in China. It the provincial headquarters of Zhejiang Province. It a coastal city that lies to the south of Yangtze Delta. Baoguo Temple

This temple sits beside Lingshan Mountain. It is 15 minutes away from Ningbo city centre. The temple was first established during the Han Dynasty. Dynasties that followed expanded and improved it. Baoguo Temple showcases the rich history and culture of Ningbo. Even more, this temple enjoys state protection, It has a grand Hall and 27 showrooms. The Grand Hall was uniquely built. Hangzhou Bay Bridge

This bridge has 6 lanes of speeds of 100km/hr. It is an ultra-modern bridge with great design. Additionally, its view is spectacular. It assumes an S shape.

Hangzhou bridge links Ningbo to Shanghai City. It has reduced travel distance between the two cities by over 120 kilometres.

To cross the bridge, one pays 135 CNY (19.45 USD)

Tianyi Pavilion

This is the oldest library in Ningbo. Tianyi pavilion covers an area of 6.4 acres. It sits beside Ming Lake. Scholars use it for education and research purposes. Even more, it preserves Ningbo’s rich history and culture. People travel from far and wide to access materials from this library.

Yandang Mountain

UNESCO named this physical feature as a Geopark in 2015. Yandang Mountain is famous for its caves and waterfalls. Similarly, it has beautiful and magnificent peaks.

The mountain has eight scenic sites. There are 3 categories: Spiritual Peaks, Dragon Waterfalls and Spiritual Rocks.

One pays between 20-45 CNY (2.88-5.76 USD) to access any of these sites. The charges vary according to one’s area of visit.




Ningbo restaurants offer crisp meals. The chefs prepare the food meticulously. Steamed seafood is a common speciality. This is due to Ningbos coastal location. Even more, the food is often fresh and salty. They charge reasonable prices. The prices range between 0.5 and 25 USD depending on personal preferences.
