Shanghai Changning Science and Technology Institute Shanghai in
cooperation with S.English.
Shanghai Changning Science and Technology Institute was founded in 1964. Since March 2003, the college has been running a professional foreign language training programme with the help of S.English.
Since the launch of the project in China, over 10,000 students have benefitted. Learners have direct contact with native English speakers while at school. Roughly 100 native English-speaking teachers have participated in the programme over the years. Similarly, we have accumulated invaluable experience through our cooperation with various universities, colleges, kindergartens, primary as well as secondary schools. We also collaborate with various enterprises and institutions all over Shanghai.
The motive was not only to pay attention to cultivate the students’ practical English using ability, but also in language development community activities to make outstanding achievements.
History of S.English
After arriving in Tokyo with only £50 Shane started giving English lessons in his kitchen. He quickly gained a fantastic reputation and decided to open his first language school. That was 40 years ago and now?….. there are over 300 S.English Schools worldwide.
Not wanting to stand still in 1990 Shane established The Saxoncourt Group. This is a world leader in high-quality English language training courses for the Cambridge University CELTA qualification and teacher recruitment.
In 1998, for his dedication to global English education and English language teaching, Shane was awarded a Coat of Arms by the Heraldic Household of the Queen. The Coat of Arms is now used throughout the world in all of the S.English Schools. We are all very proud of this, the Shane ‘family’ continue to ensure that our students receive an excellent education and customer service.
